Recently we discussed the nitrate situation in area groundwater. We have also discussed the declining aquifer and other environmental concerns such as pesticide use and soil erosion.

Last week’s column discussed the high nitrate concentration found in private wells in our area. High nitrate concentrations are a very real health concern for everybody by especially for young children and people with certain health conditions.
